I lapped up everything in the book, and was comforted to find my problems were not unique and there were others who had had similar troubles getting organized for this single life.Housekeeping and bookkeeping were especially problematic at first and the discussion in this book were very helpful. Over time I considered trying to date, but frankly, there were too many risks "getting out there" for me to take it on. This book gave me confidence and an "how to" approach I loved. I would recommend this book to anyone who is going through this transitional time. Jh

Excellent book, full of helpful advice and guidelines. This is especially useful for recently divorced or widowed men of any age.
This book is something I wish would have been available at the time my wife passed away (20 yrs ago). When I received it, I basically read it cover to cover in almost one sitting. It was very helpful in dealing with the feelings that I have experienced.
A very good primer for the older male who finds himself without the spouse he had for a number of years. it is interesting, funny and informative. The findings from the specific survey research done to obtain information for the book is revealing and some of the results may surprise some men.The book would make a good gift for an oldish friend or relative who is recently divorced or widowed.
